My first experience running a business
Starting a business can require a lot of work, time and money. If you ever consider starting a business, please remember that it might take some time for you to gain traction, just don't quit in the first year.
At the end of 2020 (november) I registered letcon.ro, an online store of electronic components and tools.
It had a really rough start, first sale was in february of 2021 and it didn't go well the rest of the year.
Curious thing was that in february of 2021 I had the biggest sales and then a complete new client silence.
One year later, in february, new orders started to come in... Now I think I get it, sales in this niche are seasoned...
At some point I even tought about closing the website and only keep a message to redirect previous customers in case they experienced problems with the products. Now I'm happy I didn't.
Another great thing that happend, my competition sold most of their stock and base prices jumped... so now I actually have best prices in the market.
Why did they have sales and I didn't you may ask!?
Well, I was a new player with no brand, while we had similar prices; or maybe I'm just bad at sales - but I really feel that this is going to be a great year.
